| Welcome aboard to some new/returning "Followers" recently. I appreciate all of my Followers very much and hope you enjoy traveling with Bruce and I. THANK YOU to Terry and Carol Oakley, and to Sam and Donna. Please feel free to make comments or suggestions, as you please! I'm trying to get more blogs listed on my "Blog Roll/List" to provide links to other blogger's sites. I'm working at it slowly.
I began cruising through some of the blogs tonight, reading some posts, leaving comments on some. I noticed a pattern. We all enjoy this lifestyle tremendously....part-timer, full-timer, vacationer...whatever. We all seem to get excited about a new travel plan no matter where that plan will take us. It also seems that we all get eager when it is time to move on to a new place, even if it is only a few miles down the road. Many bloggers were writing about new plans in the days or weeks ahead.
Sometimes when we are traveling down the highway I think about what a funny concept this whole RV thing is. I mean, how weird is it to be dragging a whole house down the highway from place to place? Weird, maybe, but totally fascinating to me. Top all that excitement off with blogging about those plans and adventures. I started this blog with the intention of being able to have friends and relatives check in to see where we were at any given time. In 2006 and 2007, when we took our long trips to Alaska and to Nova Scotia I just sent mass e-mailings to certain people. The blog makes it so much easier now and there is the added bonus I hadn't thought of or planned for....Followers. How cool is that?
I've been able, through the Blogger site, to locate and communicate with so many wonderful RV folks out there. You are all an amazing, funny, interesting, knowledgeable, fantastic group of people. I feel that I am a better person for having "met you" through your blogs or your comments to mine.
So my point is, that no matter where we live or what our lives were before blogging, we really aren't all that different. We share the same passion for seeing new places or revisiting our favorites from past trips. We share a sense of adventure (OK, some are more adventurous than others) and are ready to experience the unknown. No matter if we enjoy touring the big city or just hanging out in the country, boondocking or staying in an RV resort, it is a lifestyle we crave.
So we will be leaving Tumwater (already wrote about that) next week. Our Reader's Digest version of the plan is to go south to I-10...head east....stop off in the Texas Hill Country for just a few days...get back to I-10 after that....go to Florida for almost 3 weeks....go north to Salem, VA.....go north to pick up Hwy. 50 and begin our drive west again. We plan to be gone from Tumwater from 3/23 until 6/24. And like everyone else, we're getting pretty excited about moving on.
NOTE: thanks for all the comments re: smoke alarm. (Phyllis...you really crack me up!!!)
Until next time.....so long for now!

Follow RV traveler's, Bruce and Margie, as they enjoy a full-time life in their motorhome, a 40-ft. Winnebago Tour. They sold the house and they've hit the road! See where they go, what they see and who they visit along the way. It's not a vacation....it's a lifestyle. Please leave a comment, if you will, and let us know if you enjoy our blog. Thanks, and happy travels to all!
